Tecnam P92 Echo Super

The Tecnam P92 Echo is a 2-seater high-winged, light aircraft built by the Tecnam aircraft company, which is based in Naples, Italy. The P92 Echo Super variant features a 100hp Rotax 912ULS engine. ZK-CDL, featured here, even sports a Ballistic Parachute! (It's stored in that small area just above the triangular rear window and one can only imagine that, once deployed, the aircraft would adopt a distinct nose-down attitude, especially with two occupants!)

The P92 is popular with flight training schools and is also operated by private individuals and companies... and the Cambodian Air Force.

The P92 cruises at 105 knots, stalls as low as 33 knots and has a range of 500 miles. It can take off AND land (No, NOT at the same time!) in 328 feet.

All of the photos on this page were taken by Geoff on Sunday 21st April 2013, just a few days after his 60th birthday.

Waiheke Island's Hilltop airfield

Waiheke Island (in Auckland's Hauraki Gulf) boasts only one airfield... An undulating strip on a remote ridge-top... Not for the faint-hearted! This is our [wide] Downwind leg.

Feeling Lucky?

Nor is THIS!

(BOTH ends of the rainbow touching the ground, yet not a SINGLE pot of gold!  What's more, there's a SECOND rainbow subtely hovering above the first!)
