Battlefields 01 - Overview
Embry is ideally situated for History Buffs who wish to visit many of the WWI / WWII (and earlier) battlefields of North-Western Europe.
Embry provides a central base from which vistors can make forays to the numerous battlefields, bunkers and fortifications which dot Pas de Calais, Belgium/Flanders, Kent and even further afield.
Some trips might best be overnighters, though it is possible to drive to and from all individual destinations within the Pas de Calais region in one day.

Geoff and Annette are NOT Tour- Guides or Experts!
That said, after many years of taking friends and family around most of the places mentioned on these pages, we HAVE become pretty familiar with the area and the local History.
The Places of Interest featured on the following pages are by no-means exhaustive, but should be enough to picque your interest. (A trip to the Tourist Bureaus in Hucquiliers, Hesdin and/or Montrieul sur Mer might be of further use.
La Coupole, in particular, has a very interesting Visitors' Center and Shop.
